Welcome to The Norwich Choir
Making Beautiful Music Together

Since its beginnings in 2008, The Norwich Choir has gained tremendous popularity.
With no auditions and mostly non-music-reading members,
they prove that we all have music within us.
Our Musical Director

JASON LAMBERT is an accomplished musician. Having spent his life studying music he has conducted a number of choirs, including the chamber choir at Canterbury Cathedral. Jason’s approach combines a sense of humour with a commitment to high musical standards. He creates a welcoming atmosphere where singers feel comfortable asking questions, trying something new, and developing their confidence. Learning is at the heart of rehearsals, with clear guidance and encouragement helping everyone make progress. Rehearsals include mindful listening, deep breathing, and a sense of connection with others.
Jason believes choir should be a fun and rewarding hobby: a place to enjoy yourself, learn, and share the satisfaction of making music to a professional standard.

The Norwich Choir welcomes new members. When you join the choir, we know it can be daunting...
...but don’t worry—you will get lots of support from Jason and other choir members until you feel confident.

Our wonderful leader, Jason Lambert, takes a relaxed and friendly approach to teaching. He knows that it’s the little mistakes and quirks that bring us together.
With his encouragement, you’ll find skills you never knew you had, and your confidence will build.

The Norwich Choir just love to sing!
It’s fun and fantastic for your mental and physical well-being.

We warmly welcome new members and are here to provide all the support you need until you feel at home.
Our repertoire encompasses both sacred and secular pieces, including Simon & Garfunkel, Taizé, Rutter, Thomas Tallis, Roberta Flack, Les Misérables, Coldplay, Bruckner, as well as songs from African, Hebrew, and Georgian traditions.

It was quite simply one of the best experiences of my life!
The performance at the Philharmonic was the pinnacle; it was an unforgettable experience to stand on that stage and be part of such an uplifting performance.
The whole weekend felt like one big gig!
We made wonderful memories together.
Jolly japes & uplifting sing-songs.
Performing as part of The Norwich Choir at the Berlin Philharmonie was truly a privilege. Our hard work paid off, and we performed exceptionally well, which made us immensely proud. Listening to the other choirs from across the UK was also a wonderful experience.
We all loved it. The camaraderie was palpable among our section, the choir as a whole, and between the choirs.
